Health Care Reform Timeline

NRHA has created a health care reform implementation timeline for the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.  As you may know, some of the pieces of health reform start later than others. Some parts, like staying on your parents insurance policy took effect in Septmeber 2010, while others such as the creation of state insurance exchanges take effect in 2014. We hope that this timeline will be a valuable resource to guide you through the implementation of the Affordable Care Act.

Click below to see which provisions of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act will be implemented in that year.

For more specific information about rural provisions in the Affordable Care Act please see NRHA's Rural Reform Reference Guide or the information on our Health Reform and You webpage.
