Kasey Shakespear MHA, MPH, MA

Kasey grew up in rural Tropic, Utah, and attended Southern Utah University, earning a bachelor’s degree in biology with an emphasis in zoology. He completed dual master’s degrees in health care administration and public health at the University of Utah, as well as a third master’s degree in English and creative writing at Southern New Hampshire University. Kasey is passionate about improving the lives of rural Utahans. He has led the Utah Center of Rural Health on numerous grant projects focusing on substance use disorder, mental health, and health equity. He has also led efforts with the Rural Health Association of Utah.
