NRHA joins HHS' COVID-19 Community Corps, more

To reinforce the association’s dedication to health equity in the midst of the pandemic, NRHA has recently joined several national coalitions aimed at communicating vaccine safety and efficacy.
 
HHS’ COVID-19 Community Corps aims to establish a network of trusted voices to promote vaccines. The Made to Save Coalition is a public education and grassroots effort to increase vaccine access in communities of color. And the COVID-19 Vaccine Education and Equity Project includes resources to reach a variety of populations.

Bookmark NRHA’s COVID resources page to find rural-relevant resources all in one place. These include the following targeted resources designed to aid in communicating with both the general public as well as specific populations:

• Building overall vaccine confidence
• Talking about COVID-19 vaccines with friends and family
• Informed vaccination decision-making among diverse communities
• COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy in Latinx communities
• Speaking to Native American populations about vaccine confidence

Additionally, NRHA has teamed up with the Chartis Center for Rural Health to examine the process of providing vaccinations to rural hospital staff. Offer your perspective so best practices can be shared.
