Who’s Coming to NRHA’s Policy Institute?

The National Rural Health Association is hosting the largest rural advocacy event in the nation Feb.11-13 in Washington, D.C. Our 31st Rural Health Policy Institute is set to be our largest yet, and speakers include rural health experts and prominent figures from Capitol Hill and within the Administration. NRHA’s Policy Institute is a great opportunity to network with rural health care providers, rural health clinics, community health centers, rural hospitals, state offices of rural health, state rural health associations, educators, and researchers from across the nation.

This is your big chance to:

  • Hear from rural health leaders in the Trump Administration and Congress as they detail their plans to make health care work for rural Americans;
  • Speak directly with your Congressional delegation on Capitol Hill and educate them on real issues that affect rural health;
  • Attend an exclusive networking reception with your fellow advocates and special guests in a unique D.C. setting;
  • Participate in NRHA's Rural Health Disparities Summit Feb. 13 and gain the tools you need to help overcome significant challenges within your community.

The list of speakers includes HHS Deputy Secretary Eric Hargan, HRSA Administrator Thomas Engels, Acting CMMI Director Amy Bassano, CMS Office of Minority Health Director Cara James, U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams, Sens. Marsha Blackburn, Tina Smith, Cory Gardner, Dick Durbin, and Reps. Susan DelBene, Jodey Arrington, Brad Wenstrup and more.

Additionally, NRHA honors Members of Congress each year for being our “go-to” rural health champions on Capitol Hill. Our 2020 Rural Health Champions include Sens. Tina Smith, Dick Durbin, Marsha Blackburn and Reps. Adam Kinzinger, Brad Wenstrup, and David Loebsack. These Members of Congress have been outstanding leaders for improving rural health, and we are grateful for their support.
