Affordable Care Act may be heard by Supreme Court

The U.S. Supreme Court may decide the constitutionality of the Affordable Care Act. Twenty-six states are asking the court to review the Affordable Care Act, signed by President Barack Obama on March 23, 2010, and decide whether it is constitutional for Congress to require Americans to buy health insurance. According to Politico, the opponents will also ask the court to review six issues, including Medicaid expansions and mandated employer coverage requirements. The court is expected to soon decide which among the key issues and lawsuits challenging the Affordable Care Act it will hear.
