Deadline Approaching for Rescores in HRSA's Shortage Designation Modernization Project Auto-HPSA National Update

The Health Resources and Services Administration has updated all automatically designated Health Professional Shortage Areas (Auto-HPSAs) scores. With the implementation of this update, for the first time Auto-HPSAs are now scored electronically, not manually, streamlining the process and ensuring that all HPSAs nationwide are in a single online system.

All Auto-HPSA organizations have the opportunity to submit rescore requests via the online Auto-HPSA portal. The deadline to guarantee that your rescore requests are processed before 2020 NHSC Loan Repayment Program (LRP) application cycle is November 1, 2019. To see your current scores log into the Auto-HPSA portal or visit the HRSA Data Warehouse at https://data.hrsa.gov. The updated scores will be used for the FY 2020 National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program application cycle, which will open in February 2020.
 
Note:

• Current NHSC participants and those awarded this year are not affected by the national update.
