Annual Rural Health Conference
May 9-12, 2017 San Diego, Calif.
NRHA's Annual Rural Health Conference is the nation's largest rural health conference, created for anyone with an interest in rural health care, including rural health practitioners, hospital administrators, clinic directors and lay health workers, social workers, state and federal health employees, academics, community members and more.
2017 Annual Conference call for presentations
NRHA is soliciting session proposals for the 2017 Annual Rural Health Conference. This is an opportunity to share effective models, policies, research and information and provide your colleagues with insights and best practices addressing many of the access, quality and geographic issues confronted by rural communities.
Deadline for concurrent sessions is Aug. 11, 2016 and the deadline for research and poster presentations is Jan. 26, 2017.
Visit the Annual Conference call for presentations page for more information and to submit.
Student track at Annual Conference
NRHA is able to once again offer a student-focused track on May 10 from 1-5 p.m. The purpose of the dedicated student track at NRHA's Annual Conference is to provide student-targeted sessions and a venue for students to come together with rural America's top policymakers, educators and practitioners.
This half-day "mini-conference" will be centered on student-specific information and opportunities. There is no charge to attend this meeting, but please register above for the 2017 Annual Conference and choose “Student Track” as the function on step three so we have an accurate number of those planning to attend. Please join us!
Medical education and health equity events
The annual Rural Medical Education Conference and Health Equity Conference (formerly the Rural Multiracial and Multicultural Health Conference) will both be held May 9 directly prior to the Annual Rural Health Conference.

Exhibitors, sponsors and advertisers
Don't miss the opportunity to increase your visibility in the rural market with ads and sponsorships or by becoming a vetted NRHA Partner.
NRHA offers sponsorships for all events, providing a valuable opportunity for your organization to gain visibility. These sponsorships, ads and partnerships are great ways to get your company's message in the hands of hundreds of attendees. Remember, one-third of all U.S. hospitals are rural facilities.

Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina
1380 Harbor Island Drive
The Sheraton San Diego Hotel is located across the street from the San Diego International Airport. Complimentary shuttle service runs every 15 minutes from 5:30 a.m. to midnight.
NRHA's conference rate is $209 plus tax (currently 10.5%). Call (877) 734-2726. NRHA conferences always sell out early, so don't delay booking your room.
Some NRHA’s members have been contacted by companies claiming to represent NRHA in booking hotel reservations for this conference. This is unfortunately a widespread problem in the meeting industry. NRHA does not use a third party booking service, and hotel reservations can be booked directly.
Experience San Diego
San Diego is known for its beaches, parks and warm climate. Balboa Park is the site of the world-famous San Diego Zoo, as well as numerous art galleries, artist studios, museums and gardens. A deep harbor is home to a large active naval fleet, with the USS Midway, an aircraft-carrier-turned-museum, open to the public. Visitor information is available.
NRHA certificates of attendance will be available at the registration desk. Attendees may use these certificates with third-party organizations or their employer as documentation of having received conference hours of instruction.
