Rural Health Policy Institute

Feb 7-9, 2017 Washington, D.C.

Join NRHA for the largest rural advocacy event in the country and arguably the most important Policy Institute to date. Learn firsthand about the development and implementation of health care policy at the federal level and meet with your members. And arrive early for the Accountable Care Policy Summit or Advocacy 101 workshop.
Will the Affordable Care Act be fully repealed? What is the replacement? What does that mean to rural patients and providers? What will happen to the Medicaid program in states that expanded Medicaid and states that did not? What about cost-based reimbursement and other add-on payments so critical to rural providers?
Hear answers to these and other questions during this great time of uncertainty from members of the new administration and key leaders from Capitol Hill. Now, more than ever, the politically powerful are listening to voice of rural America.
Join our fight.

    Accountable Care Policy Summit
    8 a.m. - 4 p.m. EST Monday, February 6
Join NRHA's Accountable Care Policy Summit to learn first-hand about the future of Accountable Care Organizations (ACO) and alternative payment models (APM) to help shape that future to work for rural health.

Since the passage of the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015 (MACRA), APMs will have increasing influence on the operations of rural providers. There is a pressing need for rural providers to look at how they can respond through delivery system reform at the local, state and national level. We can help.

Much will change in Washington with a new administration, but the fate of the Affordable Care Act, Medicare Shared Savings Program and Accountable Care Organizations is as of yet unclear.

Whether you are already participating in an ACO or not, this summit will bring together important policymakers to help reveal the future of APMs and give you the opportunity to share your experiences and ideas to make shared savings work for rural patients and providers as changes are made under the new administration.
    Advocacy 101 pre-conference workshop
