    The CDC Experience
    Thursday, May 9, 3:30-7 p.m. (includes a reception hosted by the CDC Foundation)

    Interested in meeting CDC staff and learning more about the agency’s rural health work? The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is pleased to host the CDC Experience at their Atlanta headquarters during NRHA's 2019 annual events.

    The Experience will provide you an opportunity to make connections with CDC staff and hear about the agency and its efforts to improve the health of rural populations.

    Participants will also have the opportunity to visit the CDC Museum, “a Smithsonian Affiliate, [which] uses award-winning exhibits and innovative programming to educate visitors about the value of public health, and presents the rich heritage and vast accomplishments of CDC.”

    Registration is $25 for those attending NRHA's 2019 Atlanta events.

    The Atlanta Marriott Marquis
    is located in the downtown Peachtree Center, which offers indoor access to Marta transit.

    NRHA’s discounted hotel rate is $195 plus tax (currently 16.9% plus $5 per night Georgia hotel/motel fee). The discount deadline is April 14 or when rooms sell out.

    The Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is 15 miles away with $2.50 MARTA transit each way and estimated taxi fare of $32 each way.

    Fraud alert
    Some NRHA’s members have been contacted by companies claiming to represent NRHA in booking hotel reservations for this conference. This is unfortunately a widespread problem in the meeting industry. NRHA does not use a third party booking service, and hotel reservations can be booked directly.
