Journal of Rural Health Editorial Board Applications
The Journal of Rural Health, a quarterly journal published by the National Rural Health Association, is currently seeking nominations for individuals interested in serving on the editorial board. Terms for open positions of the Editorial Board will begin Jan. 1, 2017.
All board members serve three-year terms. Their duties include setting editorial content, soliciting manuscripts, reviewing manuscripts and recruiting reviewers.
Participation in editorial board events is required, as is active participation on a committee during the three-year election term.
The board meets once annually in conjunction with NRHA's Annual Rural Health Conference and via teleconference each quarter. Members pay their own travel and lodging expenses for the annual meeting. Potential candidates must have significant rural health experience and an established record of publications. Editorial board members must also be members of NRHA for the duration of their term.
Candidates for the editorial board will be evaluated on a variety of factors, including but not limited to:
Professional discipline/orientation; gender and minority diversity; geographic diversity; prior publication of articles; prior article review experience; demonstrated commitment to human services; and contributions that you may be able to make to the editorial board.
Online applications are accepted until 11:59 p.m. CDT Oct. 13, 2016.
